The aim of military training within the AAC is:

  • to develop an interest in the Army and its traditions;
  • to encourage cadets to continue military or community service;
  • to give cadets a foundation of military knowledge and discipline;
  • to develop the qualities of leadership, self-discipline, self-reliance and initiative; and
  • to provide training that may contribute to Army common induction training.

11th/28th Battalion Royal Western Australia Regiment supports the following Cadet Units:

51 ACU GIRRAWHEEN


  • Located at Girrawheen Senior High School located along Calvert Way. They parade between 1800 and 2100 hours on a Monday evening.

504 ACU Mandurah


  • Parade at Mandurah Senior High School located along Gibla Street between 1830 and 1930 hours on Wednesday evenings.

505 RCU ALBANY


  • Located at our Albany Deport, parade from 1900 hrs on Wednesdays.

KATANNING CADET UNIT


  • Located at our Katanning Depot parade from 1700 hrs on Tuesday evenings.

512 RCU NARROGIN


  • Parade at Narrogin Senior High School between 1830 and 2100 hours on a Tuesday evening.

SW ACU BUSSELTON ALPHA COMPANY


  • Located at Churchill Park located along Adelaide Street and parade between 1830 and 2115 hours on a Wednesday evening.

SW ACU BUNBURY BRAVO COMPANY


  • Located at our Bunbury depot located on the corner of Poffitt and Wilson Streets. They parade between 1830 and 2115 hours on a Wednesday evening.
