The 11th/28th Battalion is located in Perth Western Australia with Depots located in Rockingham, Bunbury, Albany and Katanning.

Battalion Head Quarters

Battalion Head Quarters is the command element of the Battalion. Pictured here is the OA or Battalion Headquarters (BHQ) on deployment in Cultana SA. The BHQ commands the Battalion by radio and verbal orders over a vast distances.

Rifle Companys

There are 3 Rifle Company's in the 11th/28th Battalion.
Each is located in a different part of the state from Perth to Albany.

Alpha Coy Head Quarters is located in Bunbury and has depots in Katanning and Albany.

Bravo Coy Head Quarters is located in Rockingham and is building up to Platoon strength.

Delta Coy Head Quarters is located in Perth Metro with Battalion HQ at Karrakatta Barracks in Shenton Park.

Support Company

Support Company is located in Perth Metro and has a number of specialist Platoons (PL) within it. These include Mortar PL who fire the 81mm mortar, Pioneer PL who carry out field engineering and demolitions tasks and Signal Platoon who establish and maintain communications for the Battalion in the field.

13 BDE Ready Reserve Force Company

13 BDE Ready Response Company's tasks include reacting to threats or in response to a call for help from the civilian authorities in case of a terrorist threat or natural disaster. Members of this company were reacted to the January 2005 bushfires in the Darling Ranges.

Cadets

Cadets the Battalion (BN) supports a number of cadet units. These groups are supported by the BN by instructors and equipment. The cadets often come along to activities run by the BN and participate in these.
