2/17 RNSWR has sub-units, called "Companies", located throughout the Sydney and Newcastle region - from Rockdale in the South to Newcastle in the North and to Blacktown in the West. While most training occurs on Tuesday nights at these companies throughout the year, the sub-units come together as a Battalion for a training weekend every month.
