Perth Symphony in the City 2011

The Perth "Symphony in the City" is on again this year the date being 10th December 2011.

One of Perth's favourite conductors, the entertaining Guy Noble, will lead the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in a performance of well-known, favourite Russian classics, including Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain and excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Also featuring beautiful West Australian soprano Katja Webb, the night will culminate with Tchaikovsky's mighty 1812 Overture complete with the Swan Bells and the 7 Field Battery of The Australian Army Reserve Artillery. The 7th Field Battery Guns will be available for public viewing between 6.00pm and 7.30pm prior to the concert start at 8pm.

Although only in its fourth year, Symphony in the City is fast becoming a favourite event on Perth's Summer calendar, and best of all is free to attend, making it a wonderful attraction for people of all ages.
