8th Personnel Services Company

The 8th Personnel Services Company is a sub-unit, diverse in its role and dispersed in its geography. The bulk of the Company is situated at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, Brisbane, whilst its Post Office element is located at Lavarack Barracks, Townsville.

The 8th Personnel Services Company is responsible for providing personnel services support to Australian forces deployed on active service. It provides a wide range of services domestically and delivers many of the basic services available to soldiers whilst in Australia, including pay and cash office facilities, postal support and general amenities.

Originally part of the 39th Personnel Support Battalion, the Company was reallocated to the 9th Force Support Battalion in July 2009.
