Scheme

The Army History Research Grants Scheme supports research into the role and involvement of the Australian Army in the development of the nation. The scheme has been in operation since 1993. Grants range to a maximum of $15,000 in the financial year and are awarded by the Army after academic assessment.

The 2012/13 Army History Research Grants will open in January 2012. All applications for the 2012/13 round should be received by the Australian Army History Unit by close of business Friday 17 February 2012.

Application forms are currently available to download as .doc files which can then be printed, filled out, and mailed to the address below or saved electronically and submitted to: ahu.enquiries@defence.gov.au.

There are two forms you will need:

  • the main form is to be filled out by the applicant; and
  • the referee form is to be filled out by the referee.
