Meet People,
Learn new skills,
Gain work experience,
Share experience,
Develop self-esteem and confidence,
Develop communication skills,
Develop networks and
Contribute to the community.
The Museum Foundation has approximately 35 volunteers, from all walks of life - retired mechanics, ex-service personnel, current serving members of the ADF and others.
The minimum required age for volunteers is 17 years and we have a few in their 70's still contributing their service, knowledge and expertise to the museum.
Individuals are most welcome to the museum as volunteers. There are no training courses involved; however, on job training by new volunteers will occur over time under the guidance of senior members. There is generally a formal interview process with the Curator prior to new volunteers starting. The contribution made by the volunteers is most welcome and greatly appreciated by the museum.
If you have the 'Right Stuff' to be a volunteer, please contact us:
