43 high school graduates from Melbourne and regional Victoria have commenced their careers as officers in the Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force. Normally a Cairns-based artist, the Army Reserve infantryman is currently deployed on full-time service with the International Stabilisation Force.

The Directorate of Projects and Standby Reserve Management – Army is an amalgamation of the Officer and Soldier Standby Reserve Cells and the Active and Standby Staff Group. Membership of the Directorate consists of Active Reserve Members posted to the Directorate, Active Reserve members posted to other units but registered to perform additional Reserve work and Army Standby Reserve Members.
