Positive Organisational Culture

Positive Organisational Culture:

A common theme from people who have returned to Army is that they missed the teamwork, mateship and working with like-minded individuals.

Army recognises and acknowledges that the experiences and skills gained whilst employed outside of Army provide our organisation with significant benefit on your return. Career Management-Army now have a formal process to recognise individual's professional civilian experiences.

Many have also highlighted they missed our outstanding conditions of service, such as free medical and dental (currently being trialled for members' families), subsidised housing, paid maternity leave and subsidised education. Furthermore they missed the support offered by organisations like Defence Community Organisation and the Department of Veteran's Affairs, such as children's education support, counselling support and other community-based assistance.

Clearly, Army has significantly evolved over the last two years to become an even better employer of choice, regardless of employment category. More than ever, Army understands that our people represent our real capability.
