Kokoda Papers - Open in new window The Kokoda Papers are the major research reports published by the Foundation. They are normally the product of a major, multi-disciplinary research project involving contributions from many serving and retired experts. Occasionally the Board of the Foundation may authorise the publication of another research product of exceptionally high worth as a Kokoda Paper. Some 3-6 Kokoda Papers are scheduled for publication annually.

Mission

CM-A delivers career advice and management, on behalf of CA, in order to maximise Army's capability and support the chain of command to fulfil its commitment to Army personnel.


Intent

Purpose: CM-A will be a single, collocated and integrated agency that delivers tailored career advice and management to maximize Army's personnel capability.


Method: Through a deliberate reform program, using LEAN methodology wherever possible, we will

  • centralise and align career management functions
  • adopt a national approach to Reserve career management
  • develop common business processes for full time and part time soldiers and officers
  • introduce modern ICT that provides staff with the optimal tools to manage the careers of Army's people
  • purposefully select, better prepare and train our people for their role. 

Endstate: CM-A is enabling Army success on operations, meeting the needs and aspirations of our people, and has delivered strategic reform initiatives and savings.
