Information For Families

There are a number of facilities, parks, open play areas, BBQs and ovals at RMC for families to enjoy while they reside at Duntroon.

DUNTROON COMMMUNITY CENTRE

Opened originally in 1981, the Duntroon Community Centre (DCC) has always offered Defence families a place to go for companionship and support. Moving to our current location in July 2003, the DCC of today is a fabulous facility (located on the grounds of RMC Duntroon) which offers a diverse array of programs and activities, available to both military (all services) and civilian families.

DUNTROON PRE-SCHOOL

The Duntroon pre-school is operated in conjunction with the Department of Education and enrolments are always welcome. As this is a popular pre-school, the priority for enrolments is as follows;
- any families posted to RMC,
- any other defence members,
- any civilians working for defence and any other civilians residing within the Act area.

To enrol, the child must turn four by the 30 April on the year they enter pre-school. Enrolment forms can be obtained from the Duntroon pre-school or Department of Education. Please note that a number of pre-school positions are reserved for the mid year posting cycle. This means those families moving to Duntroon during the year are not disadvantaged.
