Other Ranks. The term other ranks may be used in a variety of situations. Officers and Other Ranks. In this context the term refers to all personnel other than commissioned officers (ie. warrant officers, both senior and junior non-commissioned officers and soldiers of private, or equivalent, rank). 	The members of Royal Australian Army Medical Corps contribute to the Army's operational capability through the conservation of manpower. The conservation of manpower is achieved through: The provision of advice designed to promote health wellbeing and the prevention disease and injury. The care, treatment and evacuation of sick and wounded. Members of the RAAMC are employed throughout all levels of Army and provide deployable health service in support of operations. RAAMC personnel are integral to the continuum of health care provided to Army personnel.
