The main aim of this website is to allow the members of our Battle Group family at home to stay in closer touch with their loved ones deployed on operations in Timor Leste.

To my Family
I am writing to let you know of my time in Timor and how I have settled in over the past couple of weeks. It is a lot hotter over here then it is back home and the people and culture are a fair bit different. All the locals are friendly towards me and the other blokes in my Platoon, I hope to see you soon over my leave period.

Just writing to tell you that we are all doing fine and that we hope all is well back home,
with school holidays being over hopefully the children are all settling back into a normal school routine.
We're looking forward to our leave periods so we can come home and spend some time with you.

Timor Leste Battle Group
The Timor Leste Battle Group's purpose is to support the continuing emergence of effective Timor-Leste security forces, and where appropriate and feasible, other Government of Timor-Leste agencies, whilst also providing a robust response capability that is ready and capable of both supporting the United Nations in its efforts to re-establish law and order and protecting the people of Timor-Leste if required.
