The Australian Army Catering Corps

The role of the Australian Army Catering Corps (AACC) is to provide specialist catering support to the Australian Army.

The AACC provides timely and deployable catering support to land force assets as part of brigade, task force, joint or combined operations, and a catering service to enhance Australian Defence Force operations.

In fulfilling the role, the AACC is responsible for: providing technical advice to commanders and staff on catering matters; economical use of rations; developing and implementing food safety measures; provision of nutritional meals to soldiers; provision of a field catering service, including sourcing of rations, operation of a field kitchen, provision of a dining facility and management of grey water and waste; and the provision of barracks catering service, including provision of meals and a bar service to entitled members as well as a function service.

The Corps motto is ‘We Sustain’.
