The 7th Combat Service Support Battalion (7 CSSB) is unit of the 7th Brigade and is based at Gallipoli Barracks in Enoggera, Queensland.

The 7th Combat Service Support Battalion (7 CSSB) provides second line combat service support to 7 Bde and other designated units on operations, in training and in barracks.

The 7th Combat Service Support Battalion currently consists of four companies with a Battalion Headquarters and will grow a fifth company in 2012 under the Enhanced Land Force (ELF). Of the current companies:

Catering Company (Catr Coy) is a mixed Regular and Reserve organisation. This Coy currently operates the Gallipoli Barracks Combined Messing Precinct (GBCMP) with assistance from the contractor. The Officer Commanding of Catr Coy is also the Officer Commanding of the GBCMP.

7th Combat Services Support Company (7 CSSC) is a task orientated Australian Regular Army organisation capable of providing close transport, supply and maintenance support to 7th Brigade (7 Bde).

Administration Company (Admin Coy) is a task orientated Australian Regular Army organisation which includes a close support Health and Dental capability as well as integral support to the Battalion. Admin Coy also operate the Gallipoli Barracks Central Issuing Point (CIP) that provides issued clothing and field equipment to the units of 7 Bde and other designated units that do not have the capability to hold such stock.

6th Combat Services Support Company (6 CSSC) is an Army Reserve organisation which is capable of providing limited "round out" CSS (individual to section) to support the Battalion. It has a small element co-located in Toowoomba with 25th/49th Royal Queensland Regiment.

The Battalion is part of the ELF expansion and over the next few years will increase progressively in Australian Regular Army numbers and raise a second Australian Regular Army CSSC, 8th Combat Services Support Company (8 CSSC). Once 8 CSSC is raised in 2012 elements of 7 CSSC will be allocated to it together with additional manpower from ELF. The net result will see 7 CSSC provide close maintenance and supply support while 8 CSSC will provide close transport and combat supplies support to 7 Bde.

In 2012 the Health components of 7 CSSB will be transferred to 17 CSS Brigade to become the 11th Close Health Company (11 CHC). 11 CHC will remain in the 7 CSSB precinct for the foreseeable future and will receive 'admin support' from 7 CSSB.
