| The Australian Army Band Melbourne (AAB-M), currently commanded by Major Peter Grant, consists of 35 full time professional musicians who primarily operate as a concert band. The band is also capable of breaking down into smaller groups such as the stage band, jazz ensemble, woodwind quintet and fanfare team. The band is equally at home on the parade ground or in the concert hall and it is this versatility that sets them apart from other musical ensembles. From Opera to Jazz, Tschaikovsky to Top40 their extreme flexibility is displayed every time they perform.
