With this annual two-day conference now entering its second decade, the event has become the largest military history conference held in Australia, and one of the largest of its kind held worldwide. The published proceedings provide an accessible, high quality reference series on the Army's evolution and experience.

The Chief of Army hosts an annual history conference.

The 2008 Chief of Army's Military History Conference will be held on 9-10 October at the National Convention Centre, Canberra.

This year's theme is:

The Military, the Media and Information Warfare

Conference 2008

The Keynote address will be delivered by Professor Stephen Badsey from the University of Wolverhampton.

The 2008 Conference dinner will be held on the evening of 8 October 2008 at the RMC Officers' Mess.
