Wagga has some great schools, both public and private, and there is a large amount of choice when it comes to picking one. Due to the large defence community in Wagga a lot of the schools and staff will identify with the concerns and requirements of defence families and you'll find them very friendly and helpful when it comes to asking questions and visiting the schools. Wagga also has public transport and school bus routes that service many of the schools in the area. So if you only have one car or don't want to drive your kids to school every day, that's fine.
Wagga is the regional centre of the Riverina region. There are a number of major shopping centres such as Kooringal Shopping Centre, the Sturt Mall, the Marketplace, and more. Coles, Woolworths, Franklins and Aldi are here as well as Myer, Allens, Harvey Norman, Bunnings and hundreds of other well known and specialty stores. There are all the major car dealers as well as every service you could want, from lawn mowing and vehicle servicing to builders, electricians and interior design.
The centre of Wagga is only 12km from ARTC. Where you live is up to you and there are a lot of social groups and support no matter where you live in Wagga. As you can tell from the short distance, there are no long commuting times through peak hour traffic or any difficulty finding your way around whether you live in the patch or in town.
Because Wagga is the major centre of the Riverina there are plenty of employment opportunities. And, because of the vast range of services and businesses here you should be able to find something that suits.
