Increased Geographic Stability
Increased Geographic Stability
Since 2007, the geographic stability of Army's personnel has been steadily on the rise. In 2010, the majority of all soldiers and officers posted will be in a ‘back-to-back' locality.
This increase in stability is great news for members and their families who can now feel more confident that the organisation is aiming to find a balance between the service need, each member's professional development needs and personal and family needs.
From 2010, the tenure of all posting orders for all soldiers and officers will be for three years, except where shorter postings are demanded by the service need or development needs of individuals.
Army's aim is to provide members and their families with greater geographic stability whilst still offering maximum opportunities for individuals to meet career milestones required for promotion and further development.
