Introduction
The Daly Officers' Mess is part of the Central Precinct Mess Complex, located at the centre of Lavarack Barracks and provides the Mess for all Officers (and Officer Equivilants) posted to units/agencies located on either Lavarack or Ross Island Barracks. It commenced operation in 2001 after the completion of Lavarack Barracks Redevelopment Stage 2. The foundation member units were HQ 3 Bde, 1 RAR, 103 Sig Sqn, HQ Coy 3 Bde, 162 Recce Sqn and 1 MP Coy. On 3 Aug 2007 all Officers' Messes on Lavarack Barracks (Chauvel, Vasey and Daly Officers' Messes) were amalgamated to form the single Officers' Mess for Lavarack and Ross Island Barracks.
WEF 6 May 08, 11 Bde (HQ & Units) Offr who were former members of the Jezine Offrs/SGTs Mess joined the Sir Tom Daly Officers' Mess.

Mess Members' Draw Jackpots
Currently the Mess Members' Jackpot is standing at $50 to be drawn on Fri 6 Aug 10 after having gone off at $500 on Fri 23 Jul 10! Well done LT Tracey 10 FSB!
On Friday (pay week) Happy Hours, the member's draw is held at 1730hrs. To be eligible for the prize you need to be a financial member of the Mess (Full or Affiliate), not in arrears with your Mess Bill (otherwise we simply deduct your mess bill from winnings!), and more importantly present (within the Mess confines) at the time of the draw.
*If an ineligible member is drawn or not present during the draw the prize will jackpot to the next pay week's Friday draw.

A Mess Buffet Asian ~ 'Taste of the Orient' (Family Friendly) will be held on Fri 20 Aug 10.
Mess Bills Jul 10 have been issued. If you have not received one, please contact the Mess Manager or your unit social rep. Next Mess Bill issue will be 15 Aug 10 and issued by NLT 20 Aug 10 for payment by NLT 31 Aug 10.
Mess bills can be paid at the Bar (in cash or credit card (Visa/Mastercard)or else by EFT through you bank account, refer to the Mess Bills and Payment section
below on this webpage.
