Welcome to The Pilbara Regiment website. The Pilbara Regiment is one of three unique Regional Force Surveillance Units (RFSU) that comprise the overall Regional Force Surveillance (RFS) capability. The RFS capability is permanently deployed to its specified Area of Responsibility, operating in some of the most harsh terrain in the country. The RFSU provide an ongoing operational presence in some of Australia's most remote regions that incorporate assets of high strategic and economic value.

The challenges of operating overtly and clandestinely in challenging environments provides excellent soldiering for Unit members. Army Reserve members, in particular, have opportunities for learning and applying skills on operations that are rarely available to the broader Reserve force.

The website provides information on careers within The Pilbara Regiment, resources for people operating remotely and information for members and their families concerning serving in the Pilbara and Gascoyne regions.
