Puckapunyal Legal Office supports the Senior Area Representative, Unit Commanders and members serving in Puckapunyal, Nagambie, Bendigo and other regional Victorian centres.

For members serving in the Puckapunyal Military Area, the SO2 Legal will arrange "legal assistance" (in relation to ADF matters) or "legal aid" (for civilian matters). These are usually through Army Reserve legal officers in Bendigo or Melbourne. Except for legal advice at Military Police interviews, members are not to approach other legal officers for this support other than through the Puckapunyal Legal Section.

The Legal Office provides or arranges wills and powers of attorney for members in the PMA who wish to make them. Unit staff may make arrangements for individual members or for groups with the SO2 Legal or the Paralegal.
