Welcome to Puckapunyal

If you have not lived here before I am confident that you will find Puckapunyal a relaxed and friendly place to live.

Puckapunyal has gone through significant change in recent years and professionally has taken on a higher profile within the Army. New facilities have been built, others upgraded. Puckapunyal units are playing an increasingly important role in enhancing Army capability, present and future.

But Puckapunyal is much more than the home of a number of important units. It is the Army's only town and has much to offer the individual and the family. The on-base facilities are the envy of many of the towns in the area and there are a number of community, welfare and sporting organisations here ready to support families and provide social opportunities. And if it's not in Puckapunyal, you normally don't have too far to travel to find what you are after.

How much you enjoy your time here is largely up to you, I am an advocate of the old saying that "any place is what you make of it". Puckapunyal is a safe, harmonious and happy environment in which to work and live. To ensure that it remains that way we need the involvement of everyone in the community. I encourage you to do your bit in making Pucka a place that we can all be glad to call home.
