Deputy Head of Corps - Royal Australian Engineers

The Deputy Head of Corps (DHOC-RAE) appointment is filled by the Commanding Officer/Chief Instructor of the School of Military Engineering. The incumbent assists the HOC-RAE as senior adviser for RAE capabilities and heritage and provides a first point of contact for matters affecting capability and other routine Corps issues. In the absence of HOC-RAE the deputy substitutes as chairman of the RAE Corps Committees. Additional responsibilities include the day to day management of the Corps Fund.

Staff Officer Grade Two Head Of Corps (SO2 HOC-RAE) provides the staff support to HOC-RAE and DHOC-RAE and is located at Headquarters School of Military Engineering.

Staff Officer Grade Two to Head Of Corps - Royal Australian Engineers

Staff Officer HOC is a GRes appointment that provides additional staff support to HOC-RAE and DHOC-RAE.

Regimental Sergeant Major - Royal Australian Engineers

The Corps RSM provides the senior soldier input to HOC-RAE on matters affecting soldiers in RAE. Similar to HOC-RAE this is a representational appointment and is subsequently also an extra regimental responsibility for the incumbent.
