The Examiner Psychological (Examiner Psych) is a highly skilled human resources technician in the field of applied military psychology. They are fully engaged in a wide range of skilled technical tasks that become more complex with rank. The Corps' primary roles are: psychological assessment for personnel selection, classification and placement; psychological briefing for operations; mental health maintenance and post operational screening; stress management; individual counselling; operational and personnel research; performance effectiveness and training support; and human aspects of equipment design and operation. |

Basic initial employment training in Examiners Psych is at the Army Logistic Training Centre, Bandiana, followed by more advanced training at each trade level. |
Defence Psychology units and sections employing Examiners Psych are located in Townsville, Brisbane, Oakey, Sydney, Canberra, Kapooka, Bandiana, Melbourne, Adelaide, Puckapunyal, Perth, Hobart and Darwin. There are additional locations for part-time Examiner Psych positions within Australia. |

Completion of Year 12 education with passes in English, Mathematics and two other State Education Board approved academic subjects. A 'pass' (or Sound Achievement) is defined as a result that places a candidate in the top 70 percent of students that complete the subject. |
