Critical Employment Category Retention Bonus
The Chief of Army will offer bonuses of up to $25,000 to selected personnel to serve for an additional two years. Bonuses will be offered where numbers have reduced, or are reducing, to levels below that required to sustain operational or supporting capabilities.
Personnel selected will be provided a one-off offer to accept the bonus, which they will receive once they commit to serve for the additional two years.

The following employment categories have been identified as critical or serious within Army and are entitled to receive a retention bonus:

If you are affected, you will receive a package outlining your obligations if you elect to take up the Critical Employment Category Bonus. Once you receive your package, ensure you seek financial advice before accepting or rejecting the offer.
This list will be reviewed throughout the year, so do not be discouraged that your particular category (trade) has not been listed.
If you are in receipt of one of the bonuses offered under Division 7 - various employment categories in 2006 or Division 19 - AERRCB, you will not be entitled to receive one of the CECR bonuses.
