Multimedia Technicians usually function individually or as part of a small team to provide units with the support required to produce multimedia products including briefing products, presentations, web pages, computer-based learning packages, PsyOps products and posters in addition to artwork for publications, video production and still photography.

Initial Pay Group on completion of the IET course is Pay Group 4.

On successful completion of the Multimedia Technician Subject Four CPL course, salary will increase to Pay Group 5.

Training & PostingCivil Accreditation

Training
You will undertake the first module of the Combat Engineer IET course (three weeks) at the School of Military Engineering (SME), Moorebank, Sydney.
This will be followed by the Multimedia Technician course of six months, also conducted at SME.

Posting
The Multimedia Technician may be posted to Training Command units or Land Command units located in the following areas:

  • QLD - Brisbane, Oakey;
  • VIC - Albury/Wodonga, Puckapunyal;
  • NSW - Sydney, Randwick, Holsworthy, Moorebank, Williamtown, Richmond, Singleton; and
  • WA - Perth.
  • Certificate II in Multimedia;
  • Certificate III in Multimedia;
  • Certificate IV in Multimedia;
  • Statement of Attainment towards the Diploma of Multimedia; and
  • Statement of Attainment towards the Advanced Diploma of Multimedia.
