The Military International Drone Racing Tournament

Sydney, Australia will be hosting the first ever Military International Drone Racing Tournament (MIDRT) in Sydney during October 18 - 21. Competitors will be racing over an exciting course at the historic Victoria Barracks, Sydney.

The Military International Drone Racing Tournament will consist of a number of events as shown below.

Victoria Barracks is prepared for the MIDRT with the course set up. Welcome Reception for tournament participants. |
| Thu 18 Oct |
Teams move to Victoria Barracks and conduct their briefings. Practice events commence at 1000 and continue until 1600 |
| Fri 19 Oct | Qualifier races commence at 1000 and continue until 1600 |
| Sat 20 Oct |
Finals commence 0915 and continue until 1140. Presentations of prizes 1140 until 1200. The UK team is handed the baton as hosts for the 2019 MIDRT. |

Drone Racing is an authorised and encouraged sport in the Australian Army. The Military International Drone Racing Tournament (MIDRT) is an approved and sanctioned Australian Army event, in association with Invictus Games 2018.
Drone Racing is a rapidly emerging motorsport made exciting and accessible by the low cost of equipment and the first person 'pilot' view (FPV) of the race action. Drone Racing skills are often self-taught, but these skills are enhanced and refined by selection in the Army Drone Racing Team.
