The role of the Australian Army Catering Corps (AACC) is to provide specialist catering support to the Australian Army.
The Australian Army Catering Corps provides timely and deployable catering support to land forces, and a catering service to enhance Australian Defence Force operations.
In fulfilling the role, the AACC is responsible for:
- providing technical advice to commanders and staff on catering matters
- sourcing and economical use of rations
- developing and implementing food safety measures
- providing nutritional meals to soldiers
- providing field and barracks catering services
- field kitchen operations
- providing dining facilities
- management of grey water and waste.
