Protector of the Australian National Flag
The Australian Army is the ceremonial protector of the Australian National Flag. Due to this role, the Army does not have a separate ensign like the Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force.
Copyright restrictions apply to the use of any Australian Army emblem or flag. They are protected nationally and internationally by the Defence Act 1903 and the Trade Marks Act 1995. More information is available through the Using Army emblems page.
