Army Brand and Visual Identity

Welcome to the official online resource providing authoritative information about the Australian Army’s trade marks, brandmarks and emblems.

The Australian Army has many iconic and recognisable emblems including the Rising Sun badge, the Army Brandmark, Corps and Brigade emblems. They represent the Australian Army’s history, tradition, values and people, both past and present.

Misuse of Australian Army trade marks, logos, brandmarks, and emblems undermines the integrity of the Army identity, negatively impacting its reputation and the trust it holds with the public and Defence personnel.

Protector of the Australian National Flag

The Australian Army is the ceremonial protector of the Australian National Flag. Due to this role, the Army does not have a separate ensign like the Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force.
