ADF Total Workforce Model

The ADF Total Workforce Model (TWM) provides Soldiers, Commanders and Career Managers with the tools they need to achieve flexible service, by allowing members to move across the service spectrum at different stages of their career. The TWM seeks to balance Army’s capability requirements with an individual’s changing life circumstances. It expands options for recruitment and retention, across the Reserve and Permanent force, and opens up opportunities for longer-term Army careers by providing flexible service alternatives, designed to meet the needs of both the Army and its personnel.
In the long-term, the TWM will support Army to offer the best conditions to support and retain our people in a competitive environment. The TWM will assist us to raise, train and sustain a professional and competent workforce and allow Army to have access to the right soldier, in the right place, at the right time.
