Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel will conduct increased flying activity in the areas of Darwin, Delissaville, Adelaide River and Batchelor over the next week.
The training will be conducted during the day and night.
The public should not be alarmed if they see or hear military helicopters. No ammunition will be used during the training.
People who see increased flying activity or hear associated noise should not be concerned that any of the locations are under any form of actual threat.
This training is part of the ADF’s regular training schedule and is designed to ensure our people are operating at the highest level of capability to respond where required, to support Australia's national interests.
The ADF acknowledges that increased flying activity may result in disturbances to local residents. This disruption will be minimised wherever possible.
The ADF appreciates the support of the local community during this important training period.
