Chief of Army Symposium 2023

The Chief of Army Symposium (CAS) 2023 showcases Army’s enduring commitment to innovation and fostering partnerships with our allies, partner forces and Defence Industry.

The event is hosted by the Chief of Army, Lieutenant General, Simon Stuart, AO, DSC, in Perth, Tuesday 29 August and Wednesday 30 August.

CAS 2023 is comprised of presentations from eminent thinkers on topics relevant to land forces, interactive panel discussions, the CAS Expos Series (Army Innovation Day 2023, Army Robotics Expo 2023 and Army Quantum Technology Challenge 2023) and a series of official functions.

CAS 2023 is open to all Department of Defence members (ADF & APS) and invited guests.

Registrations close Friday 18 August 2023.

Army Innovation Day 2023

Army Innovation Day (AID) provides the opportunity for industry, academia and defence to harness innovative approaches and concepts. AID is hosted by the Robotic and Autonomous Systems Implementation & Coordination Office (RICO), in partnership with Defence Innovation Hub.

AID is a flagship event showcasing Australian Defence Industry and academia's ability to use innovative concepts to address capability gaps and grow the project pipeline.

Army Robotics Expo

Hosted by the Robotic and Autonomous Systems Implementation & Coordination Office (RICO), Army’s Robotic Expo (ARX) invites sovereign Australian Industry and academia to showcase cutting-edge robotic and autonomous technologies with potential for the Joint land force. 

ARX represents an opportunity to explore the convergence of multidisciplinary technologies and break the barriers of civil and military, private and public spheres in pursuit of sovereign innovation.

Army Quantum Technology Challenge

Hosted by the Robotic and Autonomous Systems Implementation & Coordination Office (RICO), the Army Quantum Technology Roadmap outlines Army’s aim to build sovereign capability and leverage Australian research to gain and retain an early quantum advantage.

Army’s Quantum Technology Challenge (QTC) is a series of technology challenges that sees world-leading quantum scientists and engineers competing to show how quantum technologies can solve important Army problems and deliver unprecedented capabilities.
