Australian Army personnel, vehicles and equipment from Adelaide will conduct training on the Cultana Training Area from 1st to the 31st May 2023.
The community can expect an increased presence of Australian Army personnel in the region and increased movement of military vehicles on and around the Cultana Training Area.
Loud noises including small arms fire, heavy machine gun fire and explosions may be heard at various times throughout the day and night. Illumination flares and lasers may also be used at various times. Red illumination flares will only be used in an emergency.
Unmanned Aerial Systems may be in use at various times over the Training Area.
This is a routine training activity and the community should not be alarmed.
The Australian Army appreciates the support of the community and recognises the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
Enquiries regarding the Cultana Training Area should be addressed to the Range Control officer on (08) 8641 5830.
