Australian Defence Force training activity

Australian Defence Force personnel will conduct military training on Sydney Harbour over the period 22 February to 28 February 2024. 

The training will be conducted primarily on Sydney Harbour overnight and is not expected to impact other waterway users. 

The public should not be alarmed if they see military watercraft operating with Sydney Ferries with personnel in uniform or carrying weapons or equipment; these vessels / areas are not under any form of actual threat. 

This essential training is vital to maintain Australia’s world-class military capability.

Defence is unable to provide media access or further information, including specific timings, regarding this training in order to protect operational tactics, techniques and procedures.
