Army training activity

Australian Army personnel, vehicles and equipment from Adelaide will conduct training on the Murray Bridge Training Area over the period of 1st May to the 30th May 2024.

The community can expect an increased presence of Australian Army personnel in the region and increased movement of military vehicles on and around the Murray Bridge Training Area.

Loud noises including small arms fire, and explosions may be heard on occasion outside the standard time of 7:30am to 11:00pm.

Illumination flares may also be used at various times. Red illumination flares will only be used in an emergency.

Unmanned Aerial Systems may be in use at various times over the Training Area.

This is a routine training activity and the community should not be alarmed.

The Australian Army appreciates the support of the community and recognises the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Enquiries regarding the Training Area should be addressed to the Range Control Officer on 08 8539 3600 or dotam.rangecontrol.muta@defence.gov.au.
