The Australian Defence Force is conducting 155mm artillery, field demolitions, main battle tank, helicopter and RAAF bombing live firing activities within the confines of the Townsville Field Training Area from 10th May to 31st July 2024. This may generate noise. These activities may occur between the hours of 00:00am to 23:59pm daily.
This training is essential to maintain the world class capabilities the Australian Defence Force provides the government in defence of the nation.
The Australian Defence Force thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while this essential training is being conducted.
