Hazard reduction burn

A small vegetation reduction burn will be undertaken at Gallipoli Barracks on Sunday 16 June 2024. 

Smoke may be seen in the area and for the days following.

Planned hazard reduction burns are conducted for a range of purposes, including to:

• Reduce the likelihood and severity of bushfires on the training area and surrounding areas
• Improve ecosystem health and resilience.  

The ADF thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while this essential work is being conducted.
