A prescribed hazard reduction burn will be conducted on the Greenbank Training Area which will generate smoke over the period 24 June 2025 to 04 July 2025.
A smoke haze may be evident for days after the burn.
Greenbank Training Area is described generally as the area bounded by Goodna Road, Staplyton Road, Middle Road and Johnson Road.
In accordance with State Legislation, planned hazard reduction burns are conducted for a range of purposes, including:
- Reducing the likelihood and severity of bushfires on the training area and surrounding areas
- Improve ecosystem health and resilience.
