The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is conducting training activities involving increased flying operations in the Darwin region and across the Northern Territory between 18 and 26 February 2026.

The training will be conducted during the day and night and may generate additional noise.

Noise disturbances will be minimised where possible and the ADF thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while this essential training is being conducted.

This training is essential to maintain the world class capabilities the ADF provides the government in defence of the nation.

Defence takes its responsibility to the public seriously, but acknowledges there are numerous challenges in conducting military activities that are in close proximity to residential suburbs. We are committed to minimise the inconvenience to the local community.
