The Australian Defence Force is conducting main battle tank and artillery live fire activities, and RAAF flights within the confines of the Townsville Field Training Area from 01st March to 12th December 2026. This may generate noise. 

These activities may occur daily during all hours. This training is essential to maintain the world class capabilities the Australian Defence Force provides the Government in defence of the nation.

The Australian Defence Force thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while this essential training is being conducted.
