The 16th Aviation Brigade will conduct flying operations in support of ANZAC Day 2026 in Darwin.

Up to six Australian Army Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopters from the 1st Aviation Regiment will take part in a flyover of the Darwin City Esplanade around 09:30am.

The community can expect increased aircraft movement and associated noise at this time.

All aircraft activities are conducted within strict safety and operational guidelines.

The flying activity schedule is subject to change, including short notice cancellation, due to variables such as air traffic control, weather and other aviation considerations.

Safety, noise management and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of Defence flying activities.

Noise disturbances will be minimised where possible and Defence thanks the public for their patience and cooperation during this auspicious event.

Members of the public can access further information regarding aircraft noise at https://www.defence.gov.au/aircraftnoise/ or by calling 1800 033 200.
