A prescribed hazard reduction burn will be conducted on Defence land in the vicinity of the Greenbank Training area. This reduction burn will take place in the environmental park, bordered by Goodna Road, the Greenbank State School and Ison Road Greenbank. 

Conduct of this activity is weather dependent.

This hazard reduction burn will generate smoke over the period 15 May 26 to 22 May 26. A smoke haze may be present for some days.

In accordance with State Legislation, planned hazard reduction burns are conducted for a range of purposes, including:

Reducing the likelihood and severity of bushfires on Defence owned land and surrounding areas and to improve ecosystem health and resilience.
