The Australian Army's 9th Brigade will conduct a training activity, Exercise Rhino Resolve, in and around the Osborne Shipyard on Saturday 13 June 2026.
The community can expect an increased military presence in the area, including vehicle movements to and from HMAS Encounter, and personnel operating within Defence premises such as the Systems Centre.
During the activity, soldiers will be visible wearing protective equipment and carrying military rifles, and may be observed interacting with civilian role players as part of the exercise scenario.
This is a routine training activity and the community should not be alarmed.
This training is essential to maintain the Australian Defence Force's ability to respond effectively to a range of operational scenarios.
The Army thanks the South Australian community for their understanding and continued support while this important training is conducted.
