Australian Army soldiers from the 12th/16th Hunter River Lancers will conduct a training activity at Beersheba Barracks, Tamworth, on the morning of Sunday 14 June 2026.
The activity will take place between approximately 9:30am and 12:30pm within Beersheba Barracks, located on the corner of Marius and Murray Streets. During this period, the community may hear sounds associated with military training, including the use of blank ammunition.
This is a routine training activity and the community should not be alarmed.
Personnel will make every effort to minimise noise impacts; however, residents in the vicinity of the barracks may notice increased noise during this time.
This training is essential to maintain the Australian Defence Force’s readiness and ability to respond to a range of operational scenarios.
The Australian Army thanks the Tamworth community for their understanding and continued support while this important training is conducted.
