Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel will conduct explosive live-fire training activities at Puckapunyal Military Area, Victoria, over the period 27 July to 31 July 2026.
The training will involve the use of explosive line charges and is designed to support the introduction of a land mine clearing capability into the ADF.
Activities will be conducted during daylight hours only and may include several louder than usual explosions throughout the training period.
Members of the public in surrounding areas may hear loud explosions and experience minor vibration effects during these activities and should not be alarmed.
Noise and vibration impacts will be minimised where possible, and the ADF thanks the community for its patience and cooperation.
This essential training is vital to maintain and enhance Australia’s military capability.
