A prescribed hazard reduction burn will be conducted on Defence land within the Greenbank Training area over the period 14 to 25 August 2026.
This area is generally bordered by Centenary Highway, Springfield Beaudesert Connect, Goodna Road, Middle Road and Johnson Road.
This hazard reduction burn will generate smoke and a smoke haze may be present for some days. Conduct of this activity is weather dependent.
In accordance with State Legislation, planned hazard reduction burns are conducted for a range of purposes, including:
- Reducing the likelihood and severity of bushfires on Defence owned land
- Surrounding areas and to improve ecosystem health and resilience.
