The Chief of Army Symposium 2026 (CAS 2026) is the first symposium convened by the 42nd Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Susan Coyle AM CSC DSM, and will be held in conjunction with the Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition (LF 2026).

The theme for CAS 2026 is Hardwired for Adaptation.
The symposium will examine the changing character of war and how the Army must be comprehensively hardwired for continual adaptation as a profession, as a fighting force, and a national institution.
Through a series of keynote presentations and panel discussions, the speakers will examine the overarching theme in three focused sessions:
- Why Hardwired for Adaptation
- Myths or reality: the Character of Contemporary War
- How to Hardwire for Adaptation
