Pre-2016 Australian Army Research Centre Publications

The AARC's role is to foster discussion and research into the Australian Army, its function, capabilities, heritage and future. Periodicals, monographs, books and other publications are made available through the Centre.
- Army Research Papers.
Army Research Papers are vehicles for progressing professional discussion and debate concerning military strategy, particularly the application of land warfare concepts and capabilities to the security of Australia and its interests.
- Army Insights Papers
Insights Papers comprise special or immediate interest topics to the Australian Army and international military community, providing lessons learned, insights on military strategy, future land operating environments and military modernisation to further debate, research and organisational change.
- Australian Army Journal
The Australian Army Journal provides the primary forum for Army's professional discourse. The journal, in addition to facilitating debate within the Australian Army, also raises the quality and intellectual rigour of that debate by adhering to a strict and demanding standard of quality.
- Study Paper Series
Study papers present an in-depth examination of single issues. They are lengthy and, by their nature, are intended to be as comprehensive and definitive as possible.
- Working Paper Series
These papers are vehicles for initiating, encouraging or nurturing professional discussion and debate concerning the application of land warfare concepts and capabilities to the security of Australia and its interests. Working papers are generally not large and, by their nature, are not intended to be definitive.
- Future Land Warfare Report
As the Chief of Army it is my responsibility to ensure that the Australian Army is postured to provide ready and relevant land forces capable of surviving and thriving in contemporary and future environments.
