List of Officers of the New South Wales Contingent Sent to the SoudanWar
extracted by R. Peacock from the New South Wales Government Gazette No. 84 dated 27th Februray 1885 (162)

The following three page handwritten document was deposited at the Army History Unit by the Defence Library Service in November 2009. It is the "List of Officers of the New South Wales Contingent Sent to the Soudan War, 1885" extracted by R. Peacock from the New South Wales Government Gazette No. 84 dated 27th Februray 1885 (162). The handwritten note in the margin of the first page notes that this particular handwritten extract was produced at the Melbourne Public Library on 5 October 1938. Regrettably, nothing is known of Peacock except that he was the Defence librarian during the Second World War.
